Chapter Building Program Summer 2012 DeMolay Atlantic Provinces Summer 2012 Chapter Building Program Eligibility: All operating chapters in the Atlantic ProvincesEffective Date: March 10th, 2012 Conclusion Date: July 27th, 2012 Rendezvous What do you win? There are several prizes up for grabs, A Ceremonial Jacques de Molay Sword and Shield to display in your chapter until the next round of the contest. How do you win? it easy and all are eligible to participate. Chapters will be awarded points based on several areas. Some areas are worth more points than other areas, but every chapter has the opportunity to win!
The areas being judged are; - % of active members and advisors and parents or visitors attending a regular meetings - % of active members and advisors and parents or visitors attending any other events - % of active members and advisors and parents or visitors attending regional events - % of active members and advisors and parents or visitors attending national events - % increase of members and advisors during the program - % of active members having their Merit Bar Head and Drop
- For Ritual each chapter will be judged at Rendezvous for their chapter opening and closing proficiency. The following are the areas being evaluated. - Ritual from memory - Ritual word accuracy - Overall presentation - % of active members participating - Floor work - Extra parts such as the 9 o'clock interpolation
How to submit your information. Every time you have an activity, have all those attending sign an attendance sheet. Attach to it, a copy of the minutes of the meeting or a short report of the event. Bonus points may be awarded for the quality of the minutes and reports, which are due at the Jurisdictional office within 10 days of the event or meeting for review and tabulation. Bonus marks may be awarded for chapters with consistently on time reporting.
The chapter opening and closing ritual judging will be done at Rendezvous and all chapters will be required to participate. All those wishing to compete in the obligations at rendezvous, will receive credit for the presentation of their obligations, based on the judges opinion, and be presented their merit bar heads and drops at Rendezvous. These Brethren will be counted in the chapter tabulation.
